The first green superstore is being supported by Huawei, Empower, and Powercell.
Empower New Energy, along with Powercell Limited and Huawei Digital Power, has launched an innovative rooftop solar power system and battery storage at Justrite Superstores.
This project is a major step for Nigeria towards using renewable energy, making Justrite Superstores the first eco-friendly store in Nigeria and West Africa.
Chris Lu, CEO of Huawei Nigeria, emphasized that electricity is crucial for industrial and commercial growth in Nigeria, and that renewable energy like solar power represents the best path forward.
He highlighted that Huawei Digital Power stands out due to its long-term investment in digital and power technologies, always prioritizing quality and safety.
Lu mentioned that Justrite, Empower, Powercell, and Huawei collaborated to create the green superstore in Nigeria and West Africa.
Huawei provides top-quality, reliable, and secure smart solar and energy storage systems, which help businesses significantly cut fuel costs and improve electricity stability and safety.
Huawei also introduced a versatile solution for commercial and industrial use, which combines an optimizer, a smart solar inverter, an energy storage system, and a cloud management system.
With over ten years of experience, Huawei has shipped more than one million inverters worldwide, maintaining a very low annual failure rate of less than 0.5%.
Their smart energy storage system undergoes thorough testing over eight months, including extreme and environmental tests, to ensure complete safety and reliability.
The system includes advanced features like cell-level monitoring, AI-based data analysis, and string-level protection to identify and isolate problematic cells.
Huawei prioritizes safety, seeing it as essential for long-term system operation, commercial value of solar and energy storage systems, and ensuring the safety of people and property.
