So talented, so humble,’ Amorim says of Amad, though he sounds a warning
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim praised Amad Diallo for his outstanding performance that secured a 2-1 victory over Manchester City on Sunday.
Amad played a key role in the derby win, but Amorim urged patience as the young winger continues to develop.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the intense match, Amorim highlighted Amad’s humility and talent, saying, “He’s very skilled and humble, but we need to remain patient and let him grow.”
The 22-year-old winger clinched the win for United with a calm, decisive goal in the 90th minute, following Bruno Fernandes’ equalizer from a penalty.
Amad’s ability to stay composed under pressure was widely praised, and Amorim acknowledged the contributions of former United coaches Erik ten Hag and Ruud van Nistelrooy in shaping the player’s progress. “They laid a great foundation with him, and we’re building on that. It’s very important,” Amorim added.
