Singer Rema Reveals His Biggest Source of Inspiration
Afrobeat singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, recently shared what drives him the most in life and music.
In an interview with The Breakfast Club, the “HE HE HE” hitmaker talked about his creative process and the key to his success. He said that his biggest motivation has always been his family. As his career has grown and more people have shown him love and support, he feels that his “family” has grown bigger too.
Rema explained that leaving his tough neighborhood made him realize his first priority was to take care of his family. But once he entered the music industry, he saw that being an artist comes with a lot of responsibilities. He feels a deep sense of duty, both personally and professionally, to those who helped him along the way.
He added that different people have different purposes, and it’s important to acknowledge and support the dreams of those around you. For example, Rema shared that his manager dreams of managing the biggest artist in Africa, and Rema wants to help him achieve that goal.
He emphasized that not everything is about money, and while he has various motivations, not all responsibilities are solely his.
