Shockwaves as Ex-Konga CEO Nick Imudia Takes His Own Life
Nick Imudia, the former CEO of Konga, a major e-commerce company in Nigeria, has reportedly died by suicide at his home. Imudia was the CEO of D.light, a company known for providing solar energy solutions and household products.
Reports state that on the night of June 25, Imudia jumped from the balcony of his apartment in Lekki, Lagos. Before his death, he called his brother in the US to discuss how to distribute his assets in case something happened to him. He also spoke to his young daughter from a previous relationship, telling her that he would always be with her whenever she looked at the sky.
His sudden death has left his friends, family, and colleagues in shock, as no one knows why he decided to take his own life.
Originally from the Ika South local government area in Delta State, Nick was previously married to the mother of his daughter, but the marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences.
Before joining Konga, Nick worked as a regional director at TCL/Alcatel and as the GM/MD for West and Central Africa at Microsoft Device and Services.
