Shatta Bundle in Trouble with EFCC Over Naira Spraying Incident
Socialite Shatta Bandle found himself in trouble with Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) due to publicly showing off Naira currency during his visit to the country.
Shatta Bandle, who attended the funeral of Nollywood actor John Okafor (Mr. Ibu), was later seen enjoying himself at another event.
A viral video captured the small-sized celebrity throwing Naira bills at an event, which caught the attention of authorities.
In response, the Ghanaian star released an apology video to the EFCC and the Nigerian public for misusing the Naira. He mentioned that a similar incident had previously led to the imprisonment of crossdresser Bobrisky.
Back in Ghana, Shatta Bandle explained that he initially started throwing US dollars at the event but switched to Naira when he ran out of dollars, which led to breaking Nigerian law.
He expressed his respect for the EFCC and Nigerian laws, and described Nigeria as his second home.
