Reno Omokri Urges President Tinubu to Intervene in Kano Emirate Dispute
Reno Omokri has weighed in on the ongoing tussle between former Emir Sanusi and current Emir Bayero in Kano, urging President Tinubu to intervene. Omokri suggests that Tinubu’s involvement could prevent escalating tensions and ensure stability in the region.
He emphasizes the importance of addressing the dispute promptly to maintain peace. Omokri believes that timely mediation by the President can foster reconciliation and uphold the cultural heritage of the Kano Emirate.
The situation demands delicate handling to avoid further division and unrest.
He wrote on his X account: “However, if there is a breakdown in law and order and a threat to the security of Nigeria, then the President and his National Security Adviser should both not be hesitant in intervening for the limited purpose of maintaining law and order.” Omokri said Tinubu has the right to attend to any threat to Nigeria’s peace, prosperity and security.
