Rabiu Kwankwaso Explains Reinstatement of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as Emir of Kano

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has clarified the reasons behind the reinstatement of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the Emir of Kano.
Kwankwaso explained that this move was part of the NNPP’s campaign promises, emphasizing the party’s belief in maintaining Kano as a unified traditional institution. Governor Kabir Abba Yusuf had pledged during his campaign to restore the Kano throne to its previous state if elected.
Kwankwaso highlighted this commitment in an interview with Arise News in Abuja, noting that the dissolution of the five emirates created by the Umar Abdullahi Ganduje administration was widely accepted, paving the way for Sanusi’s reinstatement.
