PSG rejects €250 million offer for Lamine Yamal
Paris Saint-Germain has firmly refuted claims that they made a €250 million bid for Barcelona’s young star, Lamine Yamal, during the summer transfer window.
The speculation began after Enric Masip, an advisor to Barcelona president Joan Laporta, mentioned in an interview with El Chiringuito that Laporta had turned down a €250 million offer from an unnamed French club. Masip added that the proposal was never seriously entertained.
PSG, however, categorically denied the story. In a statement to L’Équipe, the club said, “We deny this story a million per cent,” emphasizing that such an offer would have been financially unfeasible during the summer.
The French club did confirm that their sporting advisor, Luís Campos, had made standard inquiries about Yamal’s situation, describing it as part of routine scouting efforts. Campos is widely recognized for monitoring and gathering information on potential targets.
At just 17 years old, Yamal is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in football. The Barcelona winger has been in stellar form this season and is viewed as a crucial player for the club’s future.
