Portable Laments Over Debt After Being Ripped Off by Show Promoters Abroad
Portable, a street pop singer called Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, has voiced his frustration and distress over the significant debt he incurred after being ripped off by show promoters abroad.
In a recent video, the controversial singer revealed that he was supposed to travel to America for a performance but was rejected six times at the embassy due to his inability to speak fluent English. Despite being paid N3.6 million for the show and having numerous tickets sold, Portable could not attend because he was not granted a visa.
Portable shared his ordeal on social media, explaining that the show promoters demanded he pay back more than double what he had received. Initially paid N3.6 million, he was asked to refund over N20 million but has managed to pay back N18 million so far. Portable expressed his frustration, calling the promoters greedy and accusing them of ripping him off.
In his video, Portable cried out over the debt he is now in, highlighting the financial strain and the unfair treatment he experienced. Fans and followers have shown support for the singer, hoping he finds a resolution to his predicament.
