Portable claims VeryDarkMan misappropriated ₦180m from an NGO, vows to wrestle him

Nigerian musician Portable has thrown down the gauntlet, challenging VeryDarkMan to a wrestling match amidst allegations of misappropriated NGO funds.

The controversy erupted after VeryDarkMan claimed hackers drained ₦180 million from his NGO’s website, leaving just ₦20 million untouched.

In a fiery video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Portable, famous for his theatrical outbursts, displayed a wrestling belt and accused VeryDarkMan of theft. He urged the public to arrange a showdown and made his feelings clear without restraint.

Speaking in the video, Portable declared:

“If you don’t return the stolen NGO funds, don’t come near Lagos or Abuja. We’ll settle this in a fight. A thief is a thief, and those who defend thieves are no different. Wealthy individuals donated ₦180 million for orphans, and you squandered it!”

He further criticized VeryDarkMan for allegedly diverting the funds:

“You say you’re fighting for justice in Nigeria, but it’s all for your personal gain. I’ve never held onto ₦100 million, yet I still give back by sharing rice, noodles, and fixing roads and streetlights in my community. Meanwhile, you blew NGO money in clubs. Shame on you!”

Portable’s outburst has ignited a flurry of reactions online, with users flooding the comments to weigh in on the scandal.

The heated confrontation stems from VeryDarkMan’s initial claim that his NGO’s website was hacked, resulting in the significant financial loss. Portable’s accusations have only added more intensity to an already polarizing situation.
