PDP Governors Pledge to Reclaim Leadership Positions
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum has promised to win back all leadership roles currently held by other political parties.
This promise was made by the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, during a meeting at the Government House in Enugu on Wednesday.
Governor Mohammed highlighted that this meeting was significant and ambitious for the party as they aimed to make history and demonstrate their determination.
He stated, “We are here to unite, discuss issues affecting the party, and various internal matters. Our agenda includes reviewing governance across different administrations, discussing inter-party affairs, and planning our actions to offer credible alternatives to Nigerians.”
The meeting included PDP governors and other party stakeholders, such as the national working committee and various party organs. Governor Mohammed expressed concern that the country was heading towards chaos, emphasizing that they would not let this happen because they shared a common history and aspirations for Nigerians.
He stressed the need for the party to reclaim leadership positions in all states currently controlled by other parties.
Governor Mohammed also thanked Governor Peter Mbah for hosting the meeting and taking care of them since their arrival on Tuesday.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the governors in attendance were Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Godwin Obaseki of Edo, Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, Agbu Kefas of Taraba, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, Ahmed Fintiri of Adamawa, Douye Diri of Bayelsa, and host governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State.
