Patience Jonathan Talks About Her New Look Post-Presidential Villa
Patience Jonathan, the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan, said she feels younger since leaving the presidential villa because it was very stressful. She mentioned she wouldn’t want to go back due to the high stress levels.
She made these comments during a speech about public relations, value reorientation, and economic transformation at an event celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Patience Jonathan expressed that the stress in Nigeria was overwhelming and emphasized that if God helps you out of such a situation, you should be grateful. She stated she wouldn’t want to return to that stressful environment.
Regarding the 2015 presidential election, where her husband lost to Muhammadu Buhari, she clarified that she didn’t encourage him to hold onto power.
She was with him when they learned about the loss and supported his decision to concede without a fight. She stressed that it was important to avoid bloodshed and that all Nigerians are brothers and sisters in one country.
