#OndoDecides2024: Aiyedatiwa secures a commanding lead with 200k+ votes
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the ongoing Ondo State gubernatorial election, has established a commanding lead as results approach final collation.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reports that Aiyedatiwa has garnered 301,113 votes, far outpacing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Agboola Ajayi, who trails with 97,051 votes. This significant margin of 204,062 votes underscores the APC’s strong electoral performance.
With results from three Local Government Areas (LGAs) still pending, the collation process continues at INEC’s Akure office under the supervision of Prof. Olayemi Akinwunmi, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lokoja. The exercise began at 12:35 a.m.
