Olympics 2024: Favour Ofili Qualifies for Women’s 200m Semi-Final

Nigeria’s Favour Ofili achieved her best time of the season with a 22.24s run to win her heat and secure a spot in the women’s 200m semi-final.

She outpaced competitors including Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith and Gambia’s Gina Bass-Bittaye.

Ofili’s time placed her second overall, just behind the USA’s Gabrielle Thomas who clocked 22.20s.

Asher-Smith finished with a time of 22.28s, while Bass-Bittaye came in at 22.84s.

This is Ofili’s first appearance at the Olympics.
