Nigerian Father Criticizes Head Teacher for Assigning ‘Bad’ Roles to His Children in School Drama
A Nigerian father has voiced his disapproval in a trending voice note after learning that his children were assigned negative roles in their school drama. The frustrated father sent a message to the head teacher on WhatsApp, expressing his discontent with the roles given to his son and daughter.
The father was upset that his son played the role of a ‘Dibia’ (native doctor) and his daughter played a witch. He questioned the head teacher’s choice of roles, suggesting that more positive roles such as an engineer or doctor should have been assigned. He also hinted at withdrawing his children from the school, implying that the head teacher did not have their best interests at heart.
In his message, he said:
“Madam how are you. My wife came home yesterday and was telling me how you used my first son as the ‘Dibia’ and my daughter as a witch. Let me ask you, didn’t you see engineer, you didn’t see doctor, to give them it’s Dibia and witch. What I want to tell you is that someone else would also do this thing you did to my children. And I want to tell you that…”
