Lilian Afegbai Attacks Designers Demanding Tags During AMVCA Outfit Controversy
Nollywood actress Lilian Afegbai recently used social media to criticize designers who insist on being tagged in posts. This criticism comes amid the AMVCA outfit drama involving Nana Akua.
The controversy began when Nigerian designer Ezinne Olivia accused Ghanaian fashionista Nana Akua Addo of not giving her enough credit for creating her AMVCA ensemble. This accusation has led to different reactions from celebrities.
Lilian Afegbai weighed in by criticizing designers, makeup artists, and hairstylists who demand to be tagged even after they have been fully paid for their work. She finds this expectation unreasonable and frustrating.
Afegbai questioned what benefits she could gain from tagging them after making full payment. She shared an instance where she asked one of her designers if they had ever given her a discount in return for tagging them.
The actress feels that if she has paid in full, there should be no obligation to tag the service providers in her posts. This expectation, she argues, overlooks the concept of a fair transaction.
Afegbai believes that the relationship between clients and service providers should be mutual. Both parties should support each other without additional demands once a payment is made.
