Lamido Criticizes Tinubu’s UK Vacation Amid Nigerian Hardship
Former Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has openly criticized President Bola Tinubu for taking a two-week vacation in the UK.
Lamido questioned the timing of the vacation, suggesting it shows a lack of dedication to tackling the urgent problems facing the country. He highlighted the importance of strong leadership and staying engaged with the ongoing economic and social challenges affecting citizens.
Lamido also expressed concern about Tinubu’s empathy, questioning how the president could take a break when Nigerians are struggling with economic hardship and insecurity.
According to Famzigist, President Tinubu traveled to the UK for his two-week vacation, which was part of his annual leave. His Special Advisor on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said that during this time, Tinubu would be reflecting on his administration’s economic reforms and using the period as a working vacation. The president is expected to return after the two weeks.
However, Lamido criticized Tinubu’s actions, accusing him of intentionally making life harder for Nigerians. In a Facebook post titled “Deaf, Dumb, Confounded,” Lamido questioned whether the president has the empathy, compassion, and care to reflect on the tough conditions Nigerians are facing while he relaxes in Europe.
