Ivy, wife of Paul Okoye, responds to online critics questioning the color of her breast milk
Ivy Ifeoma, the wife of singer Paul Okoye, responded to critics who questioned her breast milk’s color, sparking an online discussion.
The new mom had shared a video of her breast milk on Instagram, which led one follower to comment that it looked like diluted milk, claiming breast milk isn’t usually that clear. Another commenter even accused her of using formula, stating, “Breast milk is supposed to be yellowish.”
Ivy addressed the misconceptions on her Instagram story, delivering a straightforward yet educational reply. She pointed out the lack of understanding in the comments, saying:
“Do all humans have to be the same? Don’t you know breast milk changes color over time? The yellowish tint comes from colostrum, the nutrient-rich milk produced in the early days.”
She also questioned whether the critic had any experience as a mother, expressing frustration that such comments could mislead new moms. Ivy clarified that the color of breast milk varies and evolves, especially in the beginning when colostrum is present.
She wrapped up her response with thoughtful advice:
“Don’t criticize what you don’t understand, and stop confusing new or expecting mothers.”
