How Toyin Abraham handled a fan secretly recording scenes from ‘Alakada’
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has urged Nigerians not to pirate her new movie, Alakada: Bhad and Boujee. She shared a recent incident where a fan was caught recording the film at the cinema.
On her social media platform, Toyin explained that the person was confronted and made to delete the recording. She chose to let them go without any further consequences.
“We found someone recording Alakada: Bhad and Boujee at the cinema. They deleted it, and I told the team to let them leave,” she said.
However, Toyin warned that she won’t be lenient next time. “Please stop recording. If anyone is caught again, I won’t step in to help. I’m really tired,” she pleaded.
Supporters have rallied around the actress online, encouraging others to respect intellectual property by watching movies legally in cinemas.
Her latest installment in the Alakada series has already earned ₦134 million within its first week of release.
