Funke Akindele warns fans against piracy ahead of her movie premiere

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has expressed serious concerns about the rise of piracy in the film industry and issued a warning to her fans.

As she prepares for the December 13th release of her new movie Everybody Loves Jenifa, Funke took to social media to urge Nigerians to stand against piracy.

In an emotional post, she called out the act of recording clips at cinemas, describing it as piracy and asking people to stop because it harms the industry.

“Say NO to piracy! Recording videos at the cinema is piracy! Please stop it! Piracy is destroying us! I’ve put so much effort into this project. I beg you, don’t support piracy!” she wrote.

Funke highlighted the hard work and resources she poured into the movie and explained how piracy severely affects filmmakers. She also reassured fans that strong security measures would be in place during the movie’s release to combat piracy, including taking legal action against offenders.
