FIFA U-17 WWC 2024: Nigeria’s Group A Opponents Revealed
The Nigerian Flamingos have been placed in Group A for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2024. They will compete against the host nation, the Dominican Republic, as well as Ecuador and New Zealand.
A total of 16 teams will vie for the championship from October 16 to November 3.
The Flamingos performed excellently in the qualifying rounds, defeating the Central African Republic, Burkina Faso, and Liberia, earning their eighth World Cup appearance.
Coach Olowookere and his team aim to go further than their third-place finish in the 2022 tournament.
Kenya and Zambia are the other African teams participating, all hoping to win Africa’s first title in this category.
