Fashion Designer Accuses Toyin Abraham of Unpaid Debt – Her Response

Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has responded to claims made by a fashion designer, who accused her, Annie Idibia, and Gabriel Anthony of owing a large debt.

The designer, known as @stitchesbyandra on Instagram, publicly called out the three, alleging that they had failed to pay a debt of millions of naira for over a year. In a frustrated post on her Instagram stories, the designer wrote, “@toyin_abraham @annieidibia1 @gabrielanthonys, my patience is running out already. 1 year and 2 months. How can you hold onto someone’s millions and be so reluctant to pay?”

Toyin Abraham quickly addressed the accusations, denying that she owed any money to the designer. She explained that there was a misunderstanding and provided details of the situation.

According to Toyin, during the making of the movie Malaika, there was a runway scene, and they needed dresses. Gabriel, who was involved in the project, introduced the designer to her, and the clothes were borrowed for the shoot. After filming, Toyin said she returned the dresses to Gabriel, who had brought them. She also mentioned that she purchased a hairpiece from the designer and paid in full for it.

Toyin expressed her disappointment at being dragged into the issue, emphasizing that she values her reputation. She clarified that Gabriel had informed the designer that the dresses had been returned and later borrowed by someone else, making it no longer her responsibility.

Toyin concluded her statement by offering to provide screenshots of conversations between Gabriel and the designer as proof, and thanked her supporters for understanding the situation.
