Falz Addresses Nationwide Protests in Recent Statement
Nigerian singer and rapper Falz has spoken out about the ongoing nationwide protests against poor governance.
On August 1st, Nigerians began a nationwide protest to address issues of bad governance, and today is the second day of these demonstrations.
Falz, who is known for his strong stance against bad leadership, used the social media platform X to criticize President Tinubu for ignoring the protests.
He expressed frustration over the president’s apparent indifference and questioned how long Tinubu plans to keep ignoring the public’s demands before facing serious consequences.
Falz said: “I genuinely don’t understand why it’s so hard to be compassionate. They told you to step down, but you refused, claiming it’s your right. Now, you’re ignoring the protests and trying to label them as ‘politically motivated’. Do you really think you can keep pushing the people without repercussions?”
Additionally, Afrobeat star Burna Boy recently passed the title of “African Giant” to Falz, after previously distancing himself from the 2020 protests due to backlash from Nigerians.
