EFCC Launches Investigation into Bobrisky’s N15 Million Charge Claim
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited Bobrisky and Verydarkman for questioning after the agency’s chairman, Ola Olukoyede, called for an investigation into accusations that Bobrisky bribed some EFCC officers.
This follows a leaked audio recording in which Bobrisky claimed he paid N15 million to settle a money laundering case. In response, the EFCC chairman has ordered an investigation into the matter. Both Bobrisky and Verydarkman have been summoned by the commission to aid in the inquiry.
The EFCC has assured the public that they will conduct a thorough investigation. They issued a statement confirming that Bobrisky, also known as Idris Okuneye, had accused unnamed EFCC officers of accepting N15 million to drop charges against him. The chairman has quickly assembled a team to look into these claims, and both Bobrisky and Verydarkman have been asked to appear at the EFCC’s Lagos office.
The EFCC emphasized that the investigation will be transparent, and the findings will be made public. The agency also reaffirmed its commitment to integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
