Edo PDP Youths Call for Sanctions Against South-South National Vice Chairman
Supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, under the banner of the Edo State PDP Youth League (EPYL), are calling for disciplinary action against the party’s National Vice Chairman for the South South region, Chief Dan Orbih. They accuse him of actions against the party’s interests.
The group wants the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to immediately address these accusations, investigate, and take action against Orbih for allegedly undermining the PDP in the upcoming Edo State Governorship election.
Abuókhae Shadrack Omoruyi, the group’s Secretary General, spoke on behalf of EPYL members in Abuja, condemning Orbih for celebrating a mistaken interpretation of a court ruling about the PDP’s candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo.
Omoruyi stated that Orbih’s actions, seen in a viral video, clearly violate the PDP Constitution, his oath of office, and the trust of the party members, especially the youths of Edo State. He pointed out that Orbih has been openly campaigning against the party and its candidate, which goes against his responsibilities.
He highlighted that Orbih’s actions breach several sections of the PDP Constitution and urged the party’s leadership to preserve its integrity by summoning Orbih to face the National Disciplinary Committee to address this serious matter.
