Biola Adebayo Disappointed as Guest Fakes Death Following Confession on Her Show
Notable Nollywood actress, Biola Bayo, has expressed disappointment in Adenike, a guest on her podcast ‘Talk to B,’ for faking her death after confessing her horrific experiences.
Adenike had appeared on the podcast to share her traumatic experiences, including confessing to sleeping with dogs, which she attributed to a history of sexual abuse. Following this emotional confession, Adenike faked her death, causing a stir among the audience and leading Biola Bayo to react emotionally on her social media, accusing trolls of being insensitive with their comments.
In a recent development, Biola Bayo filed a petition against Adenike for deceiving her and the audience. Adenike revealed that she faked her death out of shame after being recognized by family and friends who identified her voice.
Biola Bayo’s statement regarding the incident reads:
“Miss Adenike Adewodun’s ‘Fake Death’ Antics
Our attention has been drawn to various reactions following the reported death of our guest on ‘Talk to B,’ Miss Adenike. Here are the facts:
1. ‘Talk to B’ is a tell-all podcast created by award-winning actress Dr. Abiola Adebayo to provide a listening ear and assistance, including crowdfunding, for those in need.
2. We have produced 65 episodes so far, offering free therapy and help to many, and successfully crowdfunding for several (evidences are available on our social media).
3. Miss Adenike’s case, while tragic, is a learning curve for us. She reached out to us and was invited to share her story. We offered therapy, but she responded in a very ungodly manner by faking her own death.
4. After hearing the fake death news, we tried to locate her house to express our deepest condolences, but it was difficult. The presenter and producer, Abiola Adebayo, was emotionally and mentally disturbed for days.
5. While mourning her, we noticed discrepancies between what her so-called ‘sister’ and friend were saying. We dispatched the show’s Director on a fact-finding mission, who discovered from the hospital that she was not dead.
6. Following this discovery, our attorney filed a petition with the police. The police investigated and arrested both Adenike and her friend. During interrogation, Adenike admitted that she approached Biola for the interview and faked her death because people recognized her. She believed that by pretending to be dead, Biola would remove the video. When asked if she had requested Biola to remove the video at any point, she said no. Her mother, present at the station, corroborated the story.”
The police are set to prosecute Adenike and her friend, with further details expected to unfold as the case progresses.
