Binta Ayo Mogaji Shares Her Divorce Story After 13 Years
Veteran Nollywood actress Binta Ayo Mogaji has revealed why she ended her 13-year marriage to retired footballer Victor Ayodele Oduleye.
In a recent interview on the ‘Talk To Be’ podcast with Biola Bayo, Mogaji opened up about the challenges she faced in her marriage.
Mogaji accused Oduleye of being abusive, shedding light on the troubled history of their relationship. She spoke candidly about the difficulties she endured, providing a deeper understanding of why their marriage eventually fell apart.
This disclosure follows a previous revelation by Mogaji about her personal life. She had shared that she has a 20-year-old son with actor Jibola Dabo, whom she referred to as her boyfriend before marrying Oduleye in 2006. This background adds context to her story and the decisions she made.
Mogaji’s interview on the podcast marked a significant moment where she broke her silence on the matter. She discussed the tumultuous journey she had with Oduleye, highlighting the emotional and physical toll it took on her over the years.
We fell in love with each other but received beating over any little thing. Even in England the abusive language, the mental torture, the physical abuse, when it gets too much I will advise anybody to get out of that marriage.
“It got to a stage that when it’s only two of us at home, I do go outside the compound and sit till when someone will come around so that I will not be abused. We were in it for like thirteen years and we have been separated for four years now,” she said.
