Ayra Starr Opens Up About Her Journey of Never Being in Love

Afrobeats sensation Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has opened up about her personal life, revealing that she has never been in love.

The Grammy-nominated singer made this confession during a recent interview with *Dazed Magazine*. Despite her reputation as a “lover girl,” Ayra Starr shared that she has yet to experience true love and is looking forward to it.

In the interview, Ayra Starr explained that although she’s often perceived as someone who is romantic, she has never been in a committed relationship.

She talked about her song “Lagos Love Story,” which she wrote based on her imagination of what love would be like if she had experienced it. While the idea of love appeals to her, she admitted that she has never actually fallen in love.

Ayra Starr clarified that although she has had certain romantic experiences, they never evolved into serious relationships.

“I’ve been in some situations, but not situationships,” she said, emphasizing that none of these encounters turned into something deeply committed. Despite being called a “lover girl,” she described herself as strong-headed when it comes to love.

The singer also spoke about how her busy schedule has made it difficult for her to fully explore romantic relationships.

Since the age of 15, Ayra Starr has been juggling her modeling career, university studies, and now her music career. This has left her with little time to focus on love, as her career has taken up most of her energy and attention.

However, Ayra Starr isn’t worried about missing out on love just yet. She’s enjoying her life, having fun, and singing to cute boys whenever she feels like it.

She explained that for now, she’s content with living in the moment and taking things as they come, without putting too much pressure on herself to find love right away.
