Ayra Starr Calls for Justice in the Murder of FUNAAB Student
Afrobeat singer Ayra Starr has spoken out, demanding justice after the shocking murder of a student from FUNAAB by her friend, Adeleye Ayomide.
According to reports, on August 19, 2024, Idowu Christianah went missing after her kidnappers used her WhatsApp to reach out to her parents, sending pictures of her held hostage and asking for a ₦1.5 million ransom.
Later, it was discovered that Adeleye Ayomide, a student at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), was behind Christianah’s abduction and murder, and had buried her on his property.
There are also claims that Ayomide may have been linked to the suspicious deaths of his ex-girlfriend in 2018 and his sister in 2020.
Ayra Starr took to social media, calling for justice for Christianah and stressing the need for better protection for women. She wrote: “Stop killing us! Stop raping us! Women deserve better #JusticeForChristianah.”
