APC to Makinde: Do not hold us responsible for the conflict in the PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State to stop blaming them for the problems within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). At a recent event in Ibadan, Makinde accused the APC of causing turmoil in the PDP and other opposition parties.

In response, Felix Morka, the APC National Publicity Secretary, suggested that the PDP needs to reflect on its own issues and find solutions. He encouraged Makinde to concentrate on his main job of providing good governance instead of pointing fingers at the APC for his party’s problems.

Morka criticized Makinde for prioritizing his political ambitions for 2027 over his responsibilities as governor, saying that this is unfair to the people of Oyo State. He stated that Makinde’s unfounded attacks against the APC and President Bola Tinubu’s administration won’t help him achieve his political goals.

Morka also praised the Tinubu administration for implementing significant reforms to improve the economy, mentioning that Nigeria is now exporting more than it imports, with a trade surplus of nearly N7 billion by mid-2024.

He concluded by urging Makinde to focus on the needs of Oyo residents instead of his personal ambitions, emphasizing that the complexities of Nigeria require more than self-serving goals. Morka encouraged Nigerians to continue supporting Tinubu as the government’s reforms start to show positive results.
