I got a key holder from Shiloh before I even thought about buying my Bentley – Timaya
Timaya, the popular Nigerian singer, recently opened up about a significant moment in his life when he bought a key holder for a Bentley at Bishop David Oyedepo’s Shiloh event, even though he didn’t have enough money for the actual car at that time. This story highlights the power of belief and faith in achieving one’s dreams. Timaya shared the experience during an interview with Naija FM 102.7, where he also spoke about a memorable interaction with Burna Boy in a studio setting.
In the interview, Timaya recounted how Burna Boy once made a bold prediction to his colleagues, Omawumi and Waje. He told them that a day would come when he would be paid just to board a private jet. This was a time when private jet travel was not yet common for Nigerian artists, and the idea seemed far-fetched to some. Omawumi and Waje were skeptical of Burna Boy’s statement, which led to a tense moment in the studio.
Growing frustrated with their disbelief, Burna Boy reacted by opening the studio door and asking them to leave. His confidence and determination were clear in that moment, and it served as a reminder of his unshakable faith in his own success. Timaya, who was also part of the conversation, reflected on how he had been similarly driven by his own faith in his journey to success.
Timaya went on to share how his faith had played a key role in his achievements. He revealed that before he even had enough money to buy a Bentley, he had already purchased a key holder for the car at the Shiloh event. The key holder symbolized his belief that the car would one day be his, even if the reality hadn’t yet caught up with his aspirations.
“I didn’t even have money for the Bentley,” Timaya confessed. “But I bought the key holder because I believed it would happen. I went to Shiloh. I’m a Winner.” His story serves as an inspiring reminder that having faith and vision can pave the way for success, even when circumstances don’t seem to align with your dreams.
