Chelsea’s £51.4m talent Estêvão sets new historic record with Palmeiras
Estevão Willian made headlines again by scoring the winning goal in Palmeiras’ 1-0 victory over Grêmio.
With this goal, he became the first player under 18 in Brasileirão history to achieve 20 goal contributions in a single season.
At just 17, Estevão has scored 12 goals and provided 8 assists in 27 league games, already making a name as one of South America’s brightest young stars.
Chelsea secured his transfer from Palmeiras in a deal worth up to £51.4 million over the summer, but he won’t officially join the club until he turns 18.
Estevão’s impressive skills have even broken Neymar’s record for the most goal contributions by an under-17 player in the Brazilian league.
Chelsea’s plans for him are still unknown, but he’s expected to join the first team in 2025.
