Ganduje predicts that the APC will take charge of Rivers from Fubara shortly

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, confidently stated that his party is ready to take control of Rivers State soon.

This announcement shows the APC’s plans to grow its influence in the area. Ganduje mentioned that the party in Rivers State will undergo a major “rebuilding and repositioning” to become a strong force in the state.

He shared plans to improve the party’s organization, increase local involvement, and build better relationships with communities. By focusing on outreach and good governance, Ganduje believes the APC can meet the needs of the people and have a lasting impact in the region.

His comments came after Dawari Ibietela George, the 2023 governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, joined the APC. Ganduje praised George as a “big fish” in politics and expressed confidence that he would enhance the party’s influence.

He stated, “Rivers State will be completely APC,” highlighting his hopes for George’s contribution. Ganduje welcomed George and assured him that a strong structure would be created for him and other new members, emphasizing that everyone would be treated equally within the party.

Ganduje’s remarks come amid the political conflict between Governor Sim Fubara and Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. There have been claims that Wike is collaborating with the former APC state chairman, Tony Okocha, which Wike has denied. Meanwhile, Okocha recently stated that Fubara would be undermined ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.
