Ondo Gubernatorial Race: PDP is no longer relevant, don’t waste your vote – Aiyedatiwa

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, has declared that the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is no longer relevant in the state ahead of the upcoming governorship election on November 16. He made these remarks during his campaign visit to communities like Igbobini, Kiribo, and Igbotu in the Ese-Odo council area.

Aiyedatiwa urged the residents to show their support for the APC by voting for them in the election, emphasizing that the PDP has lost its influence in the state. He thanked the people for their patience and support, promising more developmental projects if re-elected. The governor mentioned that his administration has already worked on improving roads, schools, hospitals, and security, and he plans to continue these efforts.

He encouraged voters to come out in large numbers on election day and cast their votes for the APC, stating that voting for other parties would be a waste. He also pointed out that many former PDP leaders have joined the APC, claiming the PDP is effectively defeated.

During his visit to Kiribo, the governor expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and stressed the importance of the election for the future of the state. At Igbotu, he advised the people to vote wisely for the APC to ensure continued development.

Traditional rulers and community leaders also showed their support for the governor during the tour. The Anananawe of Bolowou, Judge Ugulapelewei Jemine, praised Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to the people and the development of the state. He also acknowledged the governor’s recognition of local talents by appointing sons and daughters of the community to political offices.

The governor visited religious leaders, including Rt. Rev. Princewill Epistle Jemine, and received blessings and endorsements from them. High Chief Bibopere Ajube, a prominent local figure, also urged the residents to support Aiyedatiwa’s re-election. The campaign tour ended with a visit to Arogbo Kingdom, where Aiyedatiwa received blessings from the Agadagba of Arogbo Kingdom, Pere Z.D. Egbunu.

Throughout the tour, Aiyedatiwa was welcomed by enthusiastic supporters, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and even defectors from other parties who pledged their support for the APC.
