WAEC Announces 2024 Computer-Based Exam Schedule for Private Candidates
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the timetable for the 2024 Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates.
According to a statement issued by WAEC on Tuesday, the second series of the exams will be held from Friday, October 25, to Friday, December 20, 2024. This period will cover all the scheduled subjects for private candidates.
WAEC highlighted that this year’s examination will be conducted in a hybrid format. This means that for objective or multiple-choice questions, candidates will answer directly on the computer screen.
For the essay and practical questions, while the questions will also be displayed on-screen, candidates will have to write their answers in the answer booklets provided by WAEC.
WAEC extended the registration deadline for the exam. Private candidates now have until Tuesday, October 29, 2024, to complete their registration.
