Mercy Aigbe’s Husband Kazim Adeoti Explains His Stance on Celebrating His First Wife’s Birthday
Kazim Adeoti, husband of actress Mercy Aigbe, has explained why he didn’t publicly celebrate his first wife, Olufunsho, on her 50th birthday. Olufunsho had a party in the U.S. for her milestone celebration, but Kazim was absent, and many people online criticized him for not attending or posting a birthday message.
In a social media post, Kazim clarified that Olufunsho had specifically asked him not to attend or publicly celebrate her birthday. He double-checked her wishes in front of their children, and she firmly repeated that she didn’t want him there. Respecting her request, he decided to stay in Nigeria to avoid any awkwardness.
Despite not being present, Kazim supported the party from afar, both financially and morally. He also made sure that some of their family and friends in the U.S. attended the celebration. Kazim mentioned that he privately wished Olufunsho a happy birthday, and she responded kindly.
Kazim emphasized that Olufunsho remains an important part of his life as the mother of his four children, and he only wishes her the best. He also urged the public, especially social media users, to stop spreading false or hurtful comments about his family, reminding everyone that social media doesn’t reflect real life.
He concluded by asking for peace and blessings.
