Why Hating on Wizkid Could Hurt Your Career, According to Odumodublvck
Rapper Odumodublvck has advised fellow musicians not to harbor negative feelings toward Grammy-winning artist Wizkid. According to him, disliking Wizkid could harm an artist’s own progress in the music industry. He made this statement during an interview with Elsie in Toronto.
In the interview, Odumodublvck explained that if he ever collaborated with Wizkid and Wizkid didn’t promote their work on social media, it wouldn’t bother him. He said that getting upset over such things is unnecessary and won’t contribute to one’s success.
He highlighted that some artists act like they’re doing you a favor when they feature on your track, but he doesn’t see it that way. For Odumodublvck, the most important thing is receiving the artist’s contribution, not whether they promote the collaboration afterward.
Odumodublvck also shared that he has never asked any artist he’s collaborated with to promote their joint work. He believes that once the artist has provided their part, that’s enough, and there’s no need to demand further promotion.
In closing, he reiterated that harboring resentment toward Wizkid, often called “Machala,” is not worth it. According to Odumodublvck, doing so only leads to personal loss, not gain.
