On October 8, Andres Iniesta is set to retire from football
Andrés Iniesta, the legendary former midfielder of Barcelona, is preparing to conclude his remarkable football journey.
At 40 years old, Iniesta, widely regarded as one of the sport’s all-time greats, will formally announce his retirement on October 8, 2024.
On Tuesday, he teased his announcement on his X (formerly Twitter) account, posting, “Coming soon 8/10/24,” generating excitement among fans and the football world.
Throughout his exceptional career, which spanned over 20 years, Iniesta made 674 appearances for Barcelona, netting 57 goals and providing 135 assists.
The Spanish star played a pivotal role in guiding the Blaugranas to a staggering 32 major trophies, including nine La Liga championships, four UEFA Champions League titles, and six Copa del Rey victories.
