Trending video shows VeryDarkMan arriving at the National Assembly in a striking white outfit
Social media influencer Martins Otse, widely recognized as VeryDarkMan, appeared at the National Assembly on Monday, responding to an invitation from the House of Representatives. He was dressed in a traditional white garment, reflecting the cultural heritage of his Benin origins.
The House of Representatives had summoned VeryDarkMan to aid in investigating bribery allegations involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS).
According to GistReel, VeryDarkMan accused the EFCC of dropping money laundering charges against Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, after receiving a bribe of N15 million.
In a viral voice note posted on his Instagram, VeryDarkMan claimed that Bobrisky paid N15 million to the EFCC to have his money laundering charges dismissed. He further alleged that Bobrisky served time in a VIP facility rather than a standard prison.
Following these accusations, the House committee requested the presence of both the EFCC Chairman and the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service at a hearing scheduled for Monday, September 30. All officers associated with the allegations were also summoned, including Bobrisky.
