Omah Lay Discusses His Experience of Feeling Unloved
Omah Lay, a talented music star, recently shared his struggles in the music industry, expressing how he often feels unloved. He particularly feels this way about the media and industry insiders.
In a candid interview with Amazon Music, Omah Lay revealed that to deal with this difficult feeling, he often escapes into a fantasy world. He explained:
“I have my fans, family, and team, but I don’t feel loved, especially by the media and those who consider themselves gatekeepers. This is something I’ve never spoken about before. I’m an artist who spends 90 percent of my time living in a fantasy world, inside my head.”
Omah Lay also talked about the difficulties of being a Nigerian, especially when traveling with a Nigerian passport. He shared:
“Traveling is particularly tough when you have a Nigerian passport. I’ve seen a lot of cruelty in the world. Immigration officers often treat me badly when they see my Nigerian passport, but their attitude changes once they realize I’m Omah Lay.”
