Surprise Wedding at Lagos Airport Leaves Travelers Astonished

Travelers at Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal II in Lagos State were treated to an unexpected spectacle on Saturday as Olamide Alli and Abiodun Agboola exchanged vows in a surprise wedding ceremony at the airport terminal, leaving onlookers in awe.
The wedding took place in the departure area of Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal II, managed by Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Ltd (BASL). Due to space constraints, a section of the terminal was cordoned off to accommodate a small gathering of 50 guests for the intimate ceremony.
Mr. Kola Bamigboye, Chief Operating Officer of BASL, highlighted the event as a demonstration of MMA2’s versatility beyond being just a terminal. He expressed hopes that this inaugural wedding would inspire more couples to consider airports as unique venues for their special day. “We like to bring people together. It’s either you are traveling through our terminal or you are coming here to solidify your love,” Bamigboye said.
Mrs. Monica Oguta, Head of Aviation Security at BASL, saw the wedding as an opportunity to innovate and add value to airport terminals. When asked if the couple were airport staff, she clarified that they were regular Nigerians who embraced the novel idea. “I started nursing the idea of an airport wedding some years back and when the opportunity came, we seized it,” Oguta stated.
