APC Chief Praises Oke and Former Aspirants for Backing Aiyedatiwa in Ondo Guber
Dare Aliu, a leader in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has praised Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his good performance. Many former governorship candidates are now supporting the governor, which Aliu sees as proof of Aiyedatiwa’s success.
Aliu, who is the Director of Diaspora Matters for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign, expressed his views in a statement on Saturday.
He especially applauded Chief Olusola Oke, a major contender in the last governorship primary, for joining forces with Aiyedatiwa.
Other former candidates, such as Hon. Okujimi Odimayo, Morayo Lebi, Prof. Dayo Faduyile, Dr. Soji Ehinlanwo, Prince Diran Iyantan, Mayowa Akinfolarin, and Funmilayo Waheed-Adekojo, have also shown their support for the governor.
Aliu, speaking from the United States, praised Oke for his belief in good leadership and teamwork. He noted that Oke’s support, along with other well-known politicians, sets the stage for an Aiyedatiwa victory.
Aliu highlighted the governor’s achievements over the past seven months, including initiatives to offset the impact of fuel subsidy removal.
These initiatives include a N35,000 extra wage for public workers, free bus services for government employees and schoolchildren, and N2 billion in soft loans for small-scale traders and farmers. The governor has also resumed road construction projects and awarded new contracts for infrastructure development.
Aliu added that Aiyedatiwa is working with Ondo State residents and other Nigerians abroad to attract credible foreign investors to the state.
These efforts aim to boost the economy and create jobs by utilizing the state’s untapped mineral resources and fertile lands for large-scale agriculture. Aliu believes that the governor’s vision aligns with the goal of harnessing these resources for the benefit of all.
