EFCC Chairman Orders Immediate Arrest of Operatives Caught Assaulting Hotel Manager in Viral Video
The chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyode, has ordered the immediate arrest of two operatives of the agency who were caught on video assaulting a female hotel worker in Lagos. This directive follows the emergence of a viral CCTV clip showing the officers manhandling the hotel manager.
In a statement released by the anti-graft agency, the EFCC boss emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the incident. The hotel management had earlier alleged that the EFCC operatives stormed their facility at around 4 am, fired shots, and attacked staff and guests.
Ola Olukoyede’s decisive action underscores his commitment to maintaining discipline within the EFCC and ensuring that any form of misconduct by its operatives is addressed promptly.
