President Tinubu Appoints Tunji Bello as New FCCPC CEO and Executive Vice-Chairman
FCT, Abuja – President Bola Tinubu has appointed Tunji Bello as the new Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice-Chairman of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), pending Senate confirmation. This marks the second instance of President Tinubu appointing a former Lagos state commissioner to a federal position.
Who is Tunji Bello?
According to a statement from the presidency, Bello previously served as the Secretary to the Lagos State Government and Commissioner for Environment. He also held various editorial roles at Concord Newspapers and THISDAY Newspapers. The President expects Bello to fully realize the Commission’s mandate, which includes protecting the interests of Nigerian consumers, promoting their welfare, and ensuring the safety and quality of goods and services.
