Dayo Adewunmi, famously known as Sule Suebebe, has passed away.
He died early Wednesday morning in an undisclosed hospital in Ibadan, the lively capital of Oyo State.
Pastor Ademola Amusan, also known as Agbala Gabriel, who had been caring for the veteran actor, announced Suebebe’s death on Facebook, saying, “It’s a pity, Baba Suebebe died at the hospital this morning. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
Last year, Sule Suebebe went viral for a heartfelt apology to the women he may have wronged in his youth, reflecting on his past mistakes and personal growth.
Pastor Gabriel, known for his charitable work, had shown kindness to the ailing actor.
In a video shared on social media, the frail Suebebe, speaking with Gabriel, asked for forgiveness from the women he had hurt, acknowledging his numerous relationships and unknown offenses during his younger years. The actor was struggling with health issues and was unable to walk.
