Burna Boy Ventures into Filmmaking with Debut Feature ‘3 Cold Dishes
Nigerian Afrobeat sensation Burna Boy embarks on his journey into the film industry as an executive producer.
He is set to produce his first movie, “3 Cold Dishes,” a thriller co-produced with Black Mic Mac,Martian Network, Asurf Films and Alma Productions.
Burna Boy will spearhead the project under Spaceship Films, the production company he established with his mother, Bose Ogulu, back in 2015.
Directed by Asurf Oluseyi, recipient of the African Magic Viewer’s Choice Award (AMVCA) for Best Short Film for “A Day with Death” in 2016, the film stands as a tribute to the fortitude and endurance of its characters, promising an unparalleled African cinematic experience.
Featuring renowned Nollywood actors such as Wale Ojo, Ruby Akubueze, Brutus Richards, Greg Ojefua, Osas Ighodaro, and Femi Jacobs alongside Ivorian and Senegalese talents, the movie showcases a diverse cast delivering captivating performances.
