$50 Million Lawsuit Filed Against Cardi B for Copyright Infringement

American rapper Cardi B is making headlines due to a lawsuit over a possible copyright violation.

Two singers from Texas and Oklahoma claim that Cardi B used their material in her song “Enough (Miami)” without permission.

Cardi B’s song “Enough (Miami)” was a big hit, making it into the top ten charts when it came out in March.

According to sources, Miguel Aguilar (also known as Kemika 1956) and Joshua Fraustro (Sten Joddi) say that Cardi B and her team used parts of their 2021 song “Greasy Frybread” in her track.

The plaintiffs mentioned that their song was even used to promote the FX series “Reservation.”

The lawsuit also includes Atlantic Records, Warner Music Group, and producers OG Parker and DJ SwanQo, along with Cardi B.

Interestingly, the plaintiffs released “Greasy Frybread” about three years before Cardi B’s song “Enough (Miami)” came out on March 15, 2024.
